We had a party at a buffet in Sangenjyaya!

It was only 2,000yen per person and you could eat and drink as much as you wanted.

I was being skeptical about the food quality but everything was yammy. You can make your own drink so you don't have to wait for a drink, which you cannot recall when or what you ordered because you have been waiting for it for ages. It was quite obvious that everyone had a good time there.

Thanks for comming folks. Let's get together again!!!

The "Sakura Tigers" Baseball Team

Last tuesday, I went playing baseball with my colleagues of Sakura House, very close to the Kagurazaka and Yaraicho residences. It was the first time I practised since high school! I was affraid of showing my colleagues my incomprehension of the game but happily, I remembered Kevin Costner's teaching from the baseball movie "Bull Durham", so I could remember some rules. :P
..We was also very happy of Sakura House residents joining us!! Matej, a friend from Czech Republic joined by Jérémy and Mathias, 2 friends from France!! We "foreigners" weren't pro players, but there is one thing I must say : we hit the ball with honor!! ..a few home-run-like shots were in thanks to Matej and his strong arms :D

Together, we really had a lot of FUN!!!

After 2 hours practicing "yakkyu", we left the baseball bat for some beers and traditional japanese food at the izakaya! This was the perfect opportunity to have a free and relaxed talk after a long and quite "physical" day :)

没想到原來包餃子也不是那麼複雑。

French Sakura House staff, Julien, just appeared on a newspaper in France!

He is from the North of France and the local newspaper focused on people who live in Japan.

I'd like to tell you a little bit about him from the article, and it's why he came to Japan :)

"It has been two years since I arrived in Tokyo in July 2008. My goal was to spend some time in Japan to master the Japanese language. Unfortunately, while studying Japanese at Lille III, I never had the opportunity to travel to Japan so it was always my dream to visit Japan one day! Often people ask me "why Japan?" To tell you the truth, I happened to come across books on Japan in the library which sparked my interest in Japanese. I was fascinated by the cultural and linguistic differences and it never stops to fascinate me."

"I love Japanese food but I find it hard to get by without food from my region. It's hard to swallow the exorbitant prices. My family regularly send me parcels cheese, waffles and cinnamon cookies."

Hello everyone!!! Last Sunday, I want to introduce a indian shop in Akihabara.

When I was on the way to our office from Sakura house Akihabara, I found a indian shop. There is various items such as food, drink, video etc., from india or Sounth Asia and I met friendly staff there.

I bought a package of indian snack and some curry pouder with staff recommendation. The snack is very tasty, especially with beer!!! Check this out!!!

A day in Kawasaki

Hello! How are you doing?

I have a friends visiting me from the States and I have taken them over to Kawasaki last Sunday.

We went to Kawasaki Daishi. I usually go there during the New Year`s holiday, so it was so strange for me to see the temple without people there!

See how packed it gets on the New Year`s day...

I stand in the line for over 2 hours to get to the front to pray!..

After a short visit to Kawasaki Daishi, we went back to the JR Kawasaki station, for what we thought would be just LUNCH..but we ended up shopping for over 5 hours!

We went to the shopping malls and we found out that in Yokohama side, stores sells differnt items from the once in Tokyo.

Ginryugai street/shopping street

La Cittadella/Cinecitta looks exactly like the one in Italy!

Try Kawasaki on your next free day! You will have fun!

Most of my team (team E) houses are close to Kawasaki!

You can enjoy living in between central Tokyo and Yokohama!

It takes less than 25mins. from ↓houses!

Japan Rail Pass: Most convenient way to travel around Japan

Still do not know about the Japan Rail Pass? For all those planning to visit this beutiful country, and not only Tokyo but other nice places such as Kyoto, Osaka.... this is definetely something you should get!

You will be able to take any of the JR metro lines in Tokyo as well as the shinkansen (bullet train) for long distance journeys!
