When I visited one of the residents, there was a proverbs’s poster.

Speaking of famous proverbs in Japanese, these might be similar one in your country,

We tend to be good at those things we like.

●早起きは三文の徳(Hayaokiha sanmon no toku)
The early bird catches [gets] the worm.
