Staying in a Share House while you Study in TokyoStaying in a share house or a guest house bed with your friend while you study in Tokyo can help both of you learn faster, while feeling comfortable in a new country. Most people come to Japan to learn at a Japanese language school, just like some residents we meet with the other day.
At one of our premise in the Taito-ku district, I met two residents from India studying Japanese together in living room. They’re staying for about a month and a half to stay at a Japanese language school around the corner from where they are staying. They’re enjoying their time in Japan and are currently looking for work to help they stay longer!
By staying together in the same share house, they’re able to help each other study, but also help each with cooking, cleaning and learning about Japan and Japanese life together.
Adjust to Life in JapanIf it’s your first time living in foreign country by yourself, adjusting to Japan can be difficult. Japan has a lot of rules and social norms that can seem strange to someone moving to the country for the first time, but don’t worry you’ll pick it up soon enough. Rules such as which trash being separated into which bin or standing on a certain side of the escalator, aren’t as clear cut.
Being in a share house can make that adjustment to life Japan a lot easier. You’ll have people around you who have been in the country for longer and able to guide you to which trash is considered combustible, or if it goes in the glass bin. Having a friend to help you along can bring you up to speed quicker so both or you can enjoy your time in the country more. If you are kind of person who likes socializing with others, you will find living in a share house can bring you happiness.
