Shimura Sanchome is a great place to live. 9 min. to the small station, quiet neighborhood, and my apt was huge and perfectly fine. If you decide to live here, walk down the street that parallels the apt buildings st., one block over (away from train tracks toward station). Halfway down there is an open store front (right side if you're walking toward the station) with 4 small food shops inside. One sells fried foods, one sells cooked rice for take-out and other small dishes, and the one furthest back sells fresh meat/fish. You can buy hot cooked rice for 100 yen, and the third store in (on right)is run by a wonderful, friendly couple. They sell fabulous Japanese take-out foods. Be sure to get the "kabocha"(squash). Tell them Ann (an) sent you. You'll love them!!! All 4 stores close at 6:00.

It was a very pleasant experience to stay in Japan and specially to be living in such a good place, with Sakura House. Shimura 3Chome is a very quiet and convenient area, with plenty of shops, markets, post offices, banks and all we needed during our stay in Tokyo. Honestly, I do not think I could have found better place to stay, as the apartament was in perfect condition!

The apartment was nice, close to the station, convenience store, and pretty good YAKINIKU restaurant. The shower is big so it's nice and the neighborhood isn't too noisy.
