Tips
Harajuku Guesthouses A, B, C, E, and Imperial Heights are the most popular living places at Sakura House. You’ll be able to meet the various people who live in the nearby guesthouses. Also you can throw parties with your housemates. Affiliated with Sakura House is the “Sakura Tei,” a popular spot for okonomiyaki in Harajuku. The road from the station to the houses passes through Takeshita street, which is a perfect place for those people who like shopping. If you leave JR Harajuku station via the Omote-sando exit, you can visit the grand, majestic Meiji shrine. In addition the entrance to Yoyogi Park, a famous symbol of Harajuku, is close by. Inside Yoyogi there are people who dress up and punch-perm their hair to be 70s rockers, called “Takenoko-zoku.” Visitors can also see a variety of people dressed up as anime characters. Spending the weekend relaxing in the park is a good idea. So is shopping! Inside of guesthouse A is the Design Festa Gallery, where residents can enjoy the artwork of the young generation of artists. For people who want to enjoy Harajuku to their heart’s content, please visit our pride, the Harajuku guesthouses!
