Sakura House and Sakura Hotel Events – A June 2024 Recap!
June in Japan marks the rainy season. For Sakura House residents, it was also a month of new friendships and Sakura Events.
If you come to Japan and stay in Sakura House or Sakura Hotel, you also can participate in our Sakura Events. These events provide an unique opportunity to make friends in Japan and experience the local culture.
Today, we will recap two Sakura Events we held in the month of June.
Field Trip at Kawasaki with Sakura House Tokyo!
…Well, not really a field trip, but close!
On June 9th, we ventured into Kawasaki City, in southern Tokyo. Residents from Bangladesh, Germany, France, the U.S., and Israel joined us for this trip, and some of them became immediate friends after meeting for the first time!
Our day was filled with cultural activities: crafting Edo faceted glass, savoring a traditional Japanese lunch, watching a Geisha Dance, trying our hand at Japanese sweet-making. We also took some time to explore the iconic Kawasaki Daishi temple before heading back home.
Singing and Laughing at Ginza 300 Bar NEXT
Later in June, on the 25th, we hosted an open mic event at Ginza 300 Bar NEXT.
Sakura House Tokyo residents from the US, France, Germany, and Spain joined us for an evening of singing, laughing, and chatting. One of our talented residents enchanted us with his guitar and vocals, gifting everyone with unforgettable memories.
Fun fact: Sakura House residents can enjoy a special treat at Ginza 300 Bar NEXT if they tell the barman the secret password!
Looking Ahead: More Sakura House & Sakura Hostel Events
We have more exciting events coming up!
Whether you’re here for a weekly or monthly stay (or longer), whether you’re studying, working, or visiting for tourism, and whether you’re residing in a hostel, guesthouse, share house, or monthly apartment in Tokyo or Kyoto, Sakura House and Sakura Hotel are your gateway to unforgettable experiences in Japan.
Stay tuned!
