Rikugien Garden
The Rikugi-en garden opened in 1702 during the Edo period in the Bunkyo-ku North of Tokyo City.
In 1714, after the death of the person responsible for its creation Yanagisawa Yoshiyasu, the park was abandoned.
Fortunately, in 1938, the founder of Mitsubishi bought the garden and to restore it.
The Rikugi-en was donated to the Tokyo City government in 1953 and it is considered nowadays as the most beautiful Japanese garden in Tokyo!
The garden is open every day from 9:00 am to 17:00 (last entry 16:30 pm)
An admission fee of 300 JPY is required.
Closed between December 29 to January 1
